CTET is always very tough. The exam is conducted twice a year and every time around 10-12 lac candidates appear to clear CTET. The interesting thing is only a few thousand candidates do the job. One has to score minimum 60% marks ((i.e. 90 out of maximum of 150) to clear the exam. There’s no negative marking in the exam so that you can answer all the questions.
Exam Pattern of CTET
CTET only has objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ’s). And there’s no negative marking, so that candidates can answer all the questions and no marks will be deducted for wrong answer.
There are total 5 sections in the paper. Two nos of papers are there in CTET. Paper I is for a candidate who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. And paper II is for one who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. If a candidate intends to be a teacher for both levels will have to appear in both levels.
