How To Make Some Spare Change With Little Effort

There are a lot of people out there working more than one job just to make ends meet. Especially for people that live in big cities, it seems like these days it’s the only way to survive. You may work one full time job, or near full time, and then have a second part time one, or create things on your own at home that you sell.

There are also plenty of people simply going into business for themselves. And there are those that just take small jobs here and there so that they can make enough money to make ends meet but spend the rest of their time enjoy the free things life has to offer. Whatever category you fit into, if you’re trying to make a little extra cash, whether it’s for fun or for Christmas shopping, here are some unconventional ways to do so.

Use Your Smartphone

You can actually make money with your smartphone, and not by talking on it. There are survey apps that you can download that will pay you in cash or maybe gift certificates. If you feel like you already have too many downloads on your phone you could get a part time job of some sort that does have you talking on your phone.

Many companies outsource their customer service now and work-from-home people are the ones that do the call answering. You might even consider working for a hotline of some kind, like telling people’s fortunes over the phone.

Use Your Computer

There are plenty of survey sites online that will pay you to answer some questions for them, again in cash or in gift cards. There are a lot of other ways to make money online though too. If you have a website you could do adshare or pay-per-click advertising. You could even become a writer by simply looking for and applying to writing and blogging jobs, but you’ll need a resume and some samples of your published work.

Start Crafting

Creative people can make money online by selling their art and the crafts they have made. Etsy and Amazon are only two of the many online outfits for selling this sort of work. You could also sell these items at local craft fairs, art shows, and at farmer’s markets.

Clean Your Clutter

Another easy way to make some extra money is to get rid of the things you don’t need anymore that other people may be able to use. Consider selling stuff on Ebay, if you like to sell online and have items that would go well there. If you have local stores that buy video games, old musical instruments, vintage clothing, or other items that could be worth money, that might be a good way to go.

You could also have your own rummage sale. Check with your city or town to find out about the rules and have one every chance you get. It’s a good way to clear clutter and make a few bucks.
