BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is a test that is conducted online every year. Last date to apply for the year 2016 was before 5th of March. The test would be conducted from May 14 to May 28 for the year 2016 by BITS. Points To Remember While Applying

  • The application fees for both female and male candidates are different. For male candidates the fee is Rs.2200 and for the female candidates it is Rs.1700.
  • Students have to book their own test date and time from given slot provided by BITSAT.
  • This year test date and time were to be reserved till 5pm on 10th of April, 2016.
  • Slot booking is done on first-come-first-serve basis
  • Once you have booked the slot for the test that is the date and time and also the center is allotted no further request for changes are entertained.
  • Be very careful about what slot you are booking. Check for the other applied examination dates and times so that no two tests get clashed.
  • Hall tickets are made available for downloading during the time period 20th April, 2016-30th April, 2016.


Tips for Giving Your Best in BITSAT 2106

BITSAT question types are shorter but tricky in nature. Their solutions won’t be lengthy unlike IITJEE OR AIEEE. The main motive of BITSAT is to find students having clear picture of the concepts in their minds practically rather than just cramming it up. So have better understanding of the derivations, formulae and the reasoning behind them.

Know the syllabus in detail before starting to prepare for BITSAT. It differs from the standard JEE format; syllabus of BITSAT being less comparatively.

The usual cutoff reaches up to 290 out of 360, decent score being considered above 320.

There are basically five major topics for the exam and they are Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. There are in total 150 questions to be attempted. After these 12 bonus questions are there too. But before going to the bonus section check your entries for all the 150 questions because once you move to the bonus section there is no going back.

As it is an online test for 3 hours so you must have the practice and patience for siting for the mentioned time in front of PC and solve the questions. For this you can try giving lots and lots of online mock tests. With this, you will be having the practice of sitting 3hours straight in front of PC as well as you will get to know about your strength and weaknesses and hence work upon them as per required.

Time management is very important in this examination. You must be able to solve the easier questions quickly so that you can give more time to the tougher sections. So it’s better if you increase your speed of understanding the question and hence calculating.

English proficiency and logical reasoning are often neglected. These two sections can be the scoring ones as they may make the difference. Even 2-3 marks also change the ranking in the range of 100s

And last but not the least keep yourself healthy and fit till the exam date. Healthy mind can function a lot better with satisfactory speed. Meditate for your mental peace and exercise on regular basis to keep yourself physically active.
